Tourism Grants for Indigenous Business Program

The Tourism Grants for Indigenous Business Program will provide up to $12 million over four years in small grants to help individual Indigenous-owned businesses and community organisations invest in developing new products, equipment, business planning and marketing in the tourism sector. Grants are capped at $50,000 for a privately owned business and $100,000 for community organisations.

Round two of the Tourism Grants for Indigenous Business Program is now open.

Investment Attraction Fund

The Investment Attraction Fund will support high quality investment opportunities that align with the State’s economic diversification priorities and create local, sustainable and higher-value jobs. In particular, the Fund will look to grow the investment and trade ecosystem, develop transferable technologies and innovations, build advanced manufacturing capability, optimise and develop infrastructure, ensure a skilled and productive workforce, and invest in and promote environmental, social and governance frameworks.

Australia-Germany HyGate initiative

The Australia-Germany HyGate initiative funding round is now open. The HyGATE Initiative will support real-world pilot, trial and demonstration projects along the hydrogen supply chain to facilitate collaboration between Australian and German partners. It will be administered jointly by ARENA on behalf of the Australian Government, and by Projektträger Jülich (PtJ) on behalf of the German Government, with the process detailed in the Funding Announcements.

ARENA Future Fuels Program

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has launched the Future Fuels Program, with a $127.9 million funding envelope to support fleets to shift to new zero emissions vehicle technology over the next four years.  Funding is available for light vehicle fleet operators for charging and electrical infrastructure, while heavy fleet operators are eligible for funding towards enabling infrastructure and some support for vehicle costs. ARENA is also looking to fund projects that incorporate hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and refuelling infrastructure. Future Fuels Program Guidelines and Future Fuels Program Focus Areas.

Kimberley Community Grants

Applications for the next round of funding for the Kimberley Community Grants Scheme are now open.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to not-for-profit organisations and schools for projects that support and empower local communities in the Kimberley.

COVID-19 Government Grants

The Tenant Rent Relief Scheme (Level 1 Business Assistance Package) and Small Business Hardship Grants (Level 2 Business Assistance Package) are now open for applications.

The application process for the remaining Small Business Rental Relief package and the Level 2 COVID-19 Business Assistance Packages is being finalised. More information on these grants is available here


2022 State Natural Resource Management funding round open

$7 million in Community Stewardship Grants funding to support natural resource management projects across Western Australia
Community-based groups have until May 9, 2022 to apply
State Natural Resource Management (NRM) funding to look after Western Australia’s natural resources is now available to community groups.

The McGowan Government is offering $7 million through the 2022 Community Stewardship Grants for projects which restore, protect or enhance a local natural area, conserve WA’s biodiversity or strengthen the capability of NRM community groups.

Small grants between $1,000 and $35,000 and large grants between $35,001 and $450,000 are available to NRM and community groups, local government authorities, Aboriginal community organisations, schools, Community Resource Centres and Recognised Biosecurity Groups.

The grants target on-ground and capability improvement activities that support regenerative agriculture, biodiversity conservation, biosecurity and invasive species management, and the development of management plans that will lead to future works.
