Kimberley Residential Facilities for Youth At-Risk – Business Case Development
The State Government is making available $500,000 for local solutions that explore residential facilities for youth at-risk in the Kimberley Region as part of the Kimberley Youth and Community Justice Response.
The Kimberley Development Commission is calling for expressions of interest to access this funding pool. It is anticipated that will be shared between several successful applicants.
This public EOI process is to identify projects to be awarded funding for the development of business cases and operational plans for residential facilities for youth at-risk across the Kimberley.
Residential facilities are an opportunity to provide safe and supported living for young people at-risk.
The features of some proposals would see residents attend school as normal and be given a stable and safe environment where their current home environment is not suitable. Cultural engagement, work with families, good nutrition and a positive Aboriginal context would be key features of some proposals.
The Kimberley Development Commission is seeking applications and will close at 12pm, Wednesday 5th October 2022.
