Local Capability Fund applications closed

Local Capability FundThe Local Capability Fund aims to offer support for businesses looking to build their competitiveness and capability as suppliers of products, services and works to the State Government and market generally. Funding was offered to a maximum of $20,000 (excluding GST) in two rounds:

  • Aboriginal Round funding to WA Aboriginal businesses to help them be better prepared to participate as suppliers of products, services and works to public and private sector markets.
  • Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS) small to medium-sized businesses with the best opportunity to access and win State and Local Government supply contracts.

Eligible expenditure includes activities such as:

  • Tender writing training
  • Improved book-keeping systems
  • New equipment
  • Marketing assistance
  • Health and safety processes
